Speed Boat RaceOPA/APBA Offshore World Championship

November 17 to 18, 2018

On Saturday November 17th and Sunday, November 18th, multiple classes of Offshore Race Boats will take to the race course off Englewood Beach in Englewood. Hear the roar of massive horsepower converted to pure speed on the water by world-class throttle men and drivers with exciting hull-to-hull racing at speeds exceeding 200 mph. The World Championship brings out the best of the best to compete for the coveted title of World Champion!

A 5,000 square foot tented area within the WaterFest Village will be the venue of interactive and educational displays. Expert personnel will represent the region’s leading Environment and Conservation organizations. The focus will be Water and Marine Life Conservation.

November 16th Dearborn Street will be the site of something amazing! With Racefest kicking off that day, and Dearborn Street lined with race boats you can’t help but get excited. The superboats will line up at 5:00 PM, and the crews welcome your questions, along with signing autographs. In the park there will be music, food, drinks along with vendors. Everyone is welcome to this free event to help kick off Racefest.


November 9 to 11, 2018

If you were fortunate enough to participate in Paddlefest last year, you will definitely want to attend again. This year the event will be held at Englewood Beach. Ample parking and a wonderful setting will be sure to make this year’s Paddlefest one of Florida’s premier paddling events.
