Englewood Beach Waterfest Returns with Bigger and Faster Race Boat Action

Waterfest Race Weekend set for October 9-12th, 2025 held again right on Englewood Beach, Florida

Englewood, FL | September 15, 2025 – Organization is in full-throttle for this year’s 11th Waterfest Race Weekend Event, held once again on Englewood Beach. 

“2025 will be the 11th year the offshore boat racing event will be held at Englewood Beach, and we are excited to be right in the mix of organizing and coordinating all the components to get ready for the October weekend ”, stated Jay Henderson, Board of Directors President. “We are excited to be working with the American Power Boat Association (APBA) to hold the national championship here on the Gulf Coast with an expected prize money over $50,000! Our race will also be live-streamed and shown on YouTube for those race fans unable to attend in person” Henderson further mentioned.

Waterfest weekend kicks off with our pre-race party on October 9th at The Waverly restaurant on Beach Road, and followed by our very popular community-wide Block Party, a free family-friendly event held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the Dignam Family Stage at Pioneer Plaza on Historic Dearborn Street in Englewood. The outdoor community event will feature the race boat parade, live music, with local food and retail vendors offering their goods and services for purchase. Both events are open to the public.

The Waterfest event is presented again this year by North Myrtle Beach RV Resort and Dry Dock Marina, and sponsored by Punta Gorda / Englewood Beach Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB), and the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA). Many other local and regional sponsors have been supporting this yearly event, and continue to do so with the 2025 production.
