Englewood Beach Waterfest’s Pirate Poker Run pays homage (albeit festive light-hearted fun) to the rich, romantic, and exciting Pirate legends surrounding the Florida peninsula and their rum-soaked yarns of buried ill-gotten loot! Onsite registration is available at Ken & Barb’s Restaurant on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Captain’s Party) and at The Backyard at Skip’s Marina on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM (Before the Poker Run).

IMPORTANT: Every participant is required to sign our Hold Harmless Agreement. Upon completing your registration, a personalized link to submit the agreement online will be displayed as well as emailed to you.

All stops will open at 10am and close and cease poker chip dispersal at 3pm.

If you did not pre purchase your hands you may go to The Backyard at Skip’s Marina (1990 Placida Road, Englewood) from 8:30am – 10am at the Waterfest Tent.

SATURDAY: Pirate Contest, and Poker Play, and AFTER PARTY!

After completing the FIVE necessary stops (participants can visit 5, 6, or 7 stops), all players will HEAD TO >> Lighthouse Grill and Tiki Bar to play their poker hand. The Waterfest Poker Run Poker-Play Tents will OPEN at 4:00pm and CLOSE at 6:00pm.

After-Party continues at Lighthouse Grill with:

Pirate Costume Contest
Prize for the BEST Pirate-themed boat
Live Music by the Marker 5 Band from 5-8pm
Drink & Food Specials ALL Night

*All Waterfest wrist-banded participants must complete playing poker by 6:00pm

** No refunds for unused hands will be made by Waterfest

Pirate Costume Contest & Best Pirate-Themed Boat

“Yo ho ho, don’t be a scallywag!” Pocket yer pieces of eight, run a shot across the bow, drop anchor in the lagoon, batten down yer hatches, lash ye parrot to the mizzenmast and peg leg it down ye gang plank to hoist a tankard of grog or a spot of rum … Pirate Poker Run is where “dead men tell no tales”.

The Lighthouse Grill and Tiki Bar will sponsor a BEST Pirate Costume contest during poker play, so dress up yer crew and “walk the plank” for prizes! There will also be a prize for the BEST Pirate-Themed Boat!
