As a race team, your entry isn’t just about hardware, it’s all about fueling a community that’s building back with grit, volunteers, and saltwater running through its veins.
Here’s what makes this the most unique offshore race in any series!
- Community-first event – 2025 Waterfest is a 501(c)(3) organization locally run, managed, promoted, and produced exclusively by the neighbors and small businesses of Englewood and the surrounding communities
- Huge Army of Volunteers – We have an army of dedicated volunteers on the sand, and behind the scenes ensuring racing here runs smoothly. Racing in Englewood directly supports the people who make the race happens
- Resilience after the storms – Englewood and Charlotte County took a hard hit from Hurricane Ian (2022) and kept grinding through a long recovery. Even 2024 events were canceled as the region juggled several storm impacts on real dollars and jobs. Showing up NOW helps the local economy keep moving.
- Serious racing legacy – 11 years of world-championship battles to 150+ mph passes off Englewood Beach, this course has history and it’s only getting bigger in 2025!
