Englewood Beach Waterfest has become the Premier Annual Southwest Florida Gulf Coast Marine Event bringing over $6 million in out-of-county revenue to the local community.
Waterfest showcases and encourages the responsible recreational use of our water resources and fosters the protection of our water and marine life. Waterfest’s “Family Conservation Area” continues to be a most popular and educational experience for children and adults alike!
The Waterfest Board of Directors strive to expand and improve the festival every year for our loyal and enthusiastic patrons with the optimum in offshore boat race vantage points and by providing the finest attractions, amenities, goods, and services.

There are Lots of Ambassador Areas to Volunteer!
Most of our ambassador/volunteer positions will be at the beach, but if you prefer there will be a few in other areas. By volunteering you will help support deserving organizations that foster the protection of our water and marine life, and encourage the responsible recreational use of our water resources. If you enjoy working in a group environment, and are committed, we have many volunteer opportunities available.

Ambassadors/Volunteers Needed in These Areas
Security and Safety
Waterfest needs several people for all shifts on Saturday and Sunday.
Responsibilities will include:
- Monitor entry/exit gates
- Act as a roving patrol to assure security for the overall event – Operating in teams of two.
- Should be able to walk/stand for a four-hour shift
- Observe attendee behavior for alcohol and/or drugs and subsequent behavior during the day. Report aberrant behavior to Security Command Center
- Liaison with the CCSO Department and Englewood Fire/EMS
- No experience is necessary, however prior law enforcement employment/experience is desirable
Gate Attendant/Ticket Sales
Waterfest needs people for various shifts on Saturday and Sunday
Ambassador/Volunteer Sign-in/Information Booth
Waterfest needs 2 people for Sunday
Medical Technicians
Waterfest needs several medics (Medics, Nurse, PA, or Physicians) to Serve on the safety boats during the races for both days

Ambassador/Volunteer Responsibilities
- Be on time: bus transportation is provided from parking lots which will be identified at a later date.
- Wear your Waterfest tee shirt and report to sign in table prior to your start time.
- After signing in report to your assigned Ambassador/Volunteer Supervisor for assignment. Keep your Supervisor informed of any issues.
What an Ambassador/Volunteer Needs
- Wear the Ambassador/Volunteer tee shirt and wrist band (provided by Waterfest)
- Sun Screen Lotion
- Personal Hat or Sun Visor
- Friendly Smile and Positive Attitude

- In front of the Beach Pavilion at the Main Gate
Event Policies
- Waterfest is held Rain or Shine
- No Drugs, Firearms, or Weapons
- NO Consumption of Alcohol while an Ambassador/Volunteer
